B&B loan to emulate Blackpool guesthouse

A Blackpool bed and breakfast has been named amongst the top ten places to stay in the world for service and value.

Reviews on website TripAdvisor ranked the family-run Norwood Hotel third in the world for service and sixth for value out of more than 200,000 hotels and guesthouses.

The ten-bedroom hotel is run by Geoff and Lorraine Hodson and they are delighted to receive such positive feedback.

Ms Hodson told Blackpool Today: "We wanted people to come here and remember the experience they had. It's been hard work keeping the hotel in top condition but at the moment it definitely feels worth it.

"We are always investing in the hotel. Every room has a fast broadband connection, LCD TV's and all are en-suite. We are very proud of the hotel and so glad people love it so much."

Michele Perry, spokesperson for TripAdvisor, said that as "real travellers" compile the list, the hotels that have done really well are not necessarily large establishments that attract the rich and famous.
