Business loans for gastro-pubs
Reported on Mon, 16 Jan 2006
A pub loan is an ideal way to pay for starting up a new pub, just as celebrity cook Jean-Christophe Novelli has done.
The TV chef has entered a partnership with Tony McFarland and Harry Nugent, two directors of the Kenneth Turner florist company, and with them purchased the White Horse in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
Mr Novelli has cited the gastro-pub format as being ideal for enabling people to eat out regularly, no matter what their social background.
"I've always liked pubs and I feel very comfortable with them," he explained to the Sunday Times.
He also pointed out the value of taking out a business loan to provide initial outlay for a business idea, saying: "You have to spend money to have something."
Mr Novelli said that the ideal aim for him and his business partners would be to set up about ten pubs in the next few years, concentrating at first on towns in the Hertfordshire area.
Anybody with an innovative idea for a pub, which they feel could be a big money-spinner, should take out a business loan to back up their business acumen, and make their dream a reality.
